My Australian Share House Was Pure Chaos🌸

One of the biggest surprises when I moved to Australia was share house culture.

I lived in a large share house with more than 30 people from all over the world, and I was the only Japanese person there.

The first thing that shocked me was the kitchen. It was much messier than anything I had seen in Japan, and I remember wondering, “Who is supposed to clean this?”

On weekends, the backyard turned into a party venue. Loud music played late into the night, and people were always bringing friends over. At first, I honestly wondered how anyone could live like this.

But before I knew it, I was having meals, sharing stories, and exchanging job-hunting tips with people from different countries. Every day felt like a new cultural experience.

Living in that share house taught me much more than English. It showed me how different people can be, and how rewarding it is to step outside of your comfort zone.

Looking back, it was a chaotic environment, but it remains one of my favorite memories from Australia.
